Necker's latest lemurs

Wanted to share an update on the lemur protection programme that we are involved in to try to save some of the most endangered lemurs from extinction.

A private zoo in England has been finding breeding lemurs quite difficult due to a lack of space.

They have sent all of their lemurs to Necker Island, where we have much more space for them.

These photos are some of the new arrivals settling in on the island. We’ve got red ruff lemurs, which are one of the most imperilled.

We also have black and white lemurs, ring-tailed lemurs and various species of brown lemurs.
