Necker fire - one year on

  • Necker Island

Today marks one year since the fire on Necker Island.

Remarkably nothing major has really changed on Necker. A beautiful new beach house has been built which we would never have done if we hadn’t had the fire and lots of other positive changes have taken place, which would never have happened without the calamity.



There was even a wonderful new love that came out of the whole event between my nephew Ned and Kate Winslet.

We're on schedule to have the Main House finished in the Spring but in the meantime, as people can see from the photos, life goes on in a delightful way.



We greatly appreciate all the well-wishes, questions and suggestions so many of you continue to send through. Will keep you updated on our progress!
