Music around the world at V Festival

V Festival is always a special weekend for Virgin - a chance for a lot of people to let their hair down and unwind with some great music.
Virgin Media’s V Festival has grown a lot since we started it in 1996 and it’s great to see a real international flavour to the line-up. As well as the Manchester favourites Noel Gallagher and The Stone Roses, there are The Killers from Las Vegas, David Guetta from France, Tim Minchin from down under and of course Tom Jones from Wales!
There’s some old stalwarts involved too - The Charlatans and Shed Seven were on the original 1996 bill and they will be there again this weekend.
We’ve always had diverse music taste here at Virgin. One of the original Virgin Records artists was krautrockers Faust, another was prog specialists Gong, right through to the punk of The Sex Pistols and R&B with Janet Jackson.
Whatever your music preferences, festivals are a perfect opportunity to meet interesting people and enjoy some new experiences. If you’re going to V or any other festivals this summer, let us know how you get on. Enjoy - and let's hope the sun is shining!
