How did you meet your partner? A happy couple got in touch recently to share their story of how they got together - on a Virgin Atlantic flight!
In a story not too far removed from the new Virgin Produced movie Departure Date, which was filmed completely on Virgin airlines, Michael and Claire met on board a Virgin Atlantic flight from London to New York.
Michael plucked up the courage to ask a Virgin flight attendant, Stephen Hawkes (our very own cupid!) to deliver a note to the beautiful woman he had seen boarding the plane. With Stephen’s help, sparks were soon flying and the new couple had to be pulled apart for landing!
Three years later, Michael proposed to Clare on board another London-New York Virgin flight. Fittingly, Stephen was there to hold the ring on a silver platter as Michael fell down to one knee. All the cabin crew were in on the special moment, and Clare said yes!
Well, today is Michael and Clare’s wedding day. We want to wish them a wonderful day and a long, happy life together. All the best from everyone at Virgin.
