'Hanging around' at Virgin Active Kensington

Enjoyed a visit to Virgin Active's beautiful gym in Kensington.
It's always great to meet as many of the people who make our companies tick as possible, and the best place to do that is while they go about their days.

As well as chatting to the staff to see how they think everything is going, visits like this give me the chance to hear first-hand from customers while they use our services.

This often leads to new initiatives, as getting personal feedback can provide a fresh outlook on ideas. Whether the feedback is positive or negative, it is always useful to get a feel for how your business is doing.

While in Kensington I was tempted to linger by one of the classes going on, but was soon brought back down to earth with a jolt after my own fitness was put to the test. Will have to make sure I do plenty of kitesurfing - and not too much overindulging - over the Christmas break!

For a few minutes Virgin Active even managed to turn my whole world upside down when I had a go at gravity yoga. It's great how much choice there is in our health clubs these days, fitness isn't all about running on a treadmill, There are lots of interesting alternatives, from swimming to spinning, zumba to body pump.

What's your fitness regime? Let us know what works for you and whether you'll be trying out something new anytime soon.
