I'm in the Maldives for a debate on global warming. The Maldives is in peril as sea levels rise and we want to do all we can to make a difference.

I am meeting his excellency Mr Mohamed Nasheed, President of the Maldives (stop name-dropping Richard!) and attending the Six Senses SLOWLIFE Symposium.

Sadly I was meant to be at Archbishop Desmond Tutu's 80th birthday in Jo'burg - but he's excused me to go to the Maldives for the global warming initiative. Anyway, happy birthday for Friday Arch, have a wonderful day (OK, more name-dropping!)
