From Cabin Crew to Virgin pilot

This time of year is a time of recollection for many, and I had a brilliant reminder of some fun times from the past recently.
I received a note from Gerry Mulholland, who started working as Cabin Crew with Virgin Atlantic back in 1990.
Gerry went on to progress from Cabin Crew right up to becoming a Virgin pilot – he flew me to Nairobi earlier this month!
Here are some photos of us enjoying one of the legendary impromptu social events that took place from time to time.

He wrote: “The pics are from the afternoon of the opening of the VS social club where, after a few hours, we all left in a convoy of cars to party at a director’s house.
“We sat in the back of one of the girls’ cars and followed on with a boot full of booze (which you'd tipped from a wheelie bin at the party into said boot!)... Happy days...”
Thanks for the memories (not to mention the flight) Gerry! Happy new year to all our staff and crews - plus readers of this blog - worldwide.
