What a car! Nick (Wirth) and his design team have done an incredible job and so today they deserve all of the spotlight. It’s been fantastic to be part of this journey almost from the very beginning and to see a great engineering mind at work.
I’m sure we will be measured by how fast the car is on the track in Jerez next week, but I hope that doesn’t overshadow the far bigger achievement of pulling an entire racing team together and taking a brave step that defies convention.
Hi,This year I will writing a personal weekly column for the New York Times Syndicate team. These articles are being distributed around the world by the Syndicate team and hopefully will pop up as far afield as Asia, Africa and South America. The plan is for these to be a mix of business advice, some topical opinion pieces and also answers to the questions many of you post every week. I hope you find it interesting, challenging and even entertaining!Read the first article on why bad times are th
Everyone who has seen the sheer destruction in Haiti over the last few days will have been moved to help in any way they can. Virgin Atlantic and our foundation Virgin Unite, have been liaising with organisations working on the relief effort with the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) to help deliver much-needed aid to the region. We will fly in as much aid as possible so that the agencies on the ground can respond to the needs of everyone in Haiti whose lives have been devastated by this

Just back from Copenhagen. It was a quick trip but I met a fascinating group of mayors, from Los Angeles, Vancouver and Calgary. They are all keen to drive change through their cities so we discussed improving buildings and modernising their ports. I participated in an event on saving the rain forests and met inspiring leaders like President of Guyana Bharrat Jagdeo and Norwegian Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg. Hurricane force winds hit Mojave Air and Spaceport CA on Monday evening where we had all gathered to witness the roll out of Virgin Galactic's first commercial manned spaceship.
We braved gale force winds and stormy weather, to see SpaceShipTwo for the first time. As we were celebrating, an evacuation was called by local officials who had become aware of the approaching storm.
It was absolutely incredible, the roll out of the spaceship had been fantastic and everybody was fill
Over the last few days I have been asked about the ethics and the rationale behind the Virgin Galactic suborbital space program. So I thought it best to outline a few my thoughts here on why I think this is such an important initiative to get behind and invest in.Since the 1960s, space technology has played a big role in helping scientific research, weather forecasting, communications and climate studies. Without it our ability to understand the pace and nature of climate change would be severel
