Back in the UK

It’s great to be back in the UK and was lovely to meet up with the Virgin Media staff for tea and cakes yesterday. Despite the deal with Liberty they’re still very much a part of the Virgin family, and talking to various people, it certainly feels that way – especially with a baby in the office.
As you can see in the photo below, the baby is already clued up when it comes to using the latest technology!
Also had the opportunity catch up with the Virgin Media Pioneers team ahead of this year's ‘Pitch 2 Rich’ entrepreneur competition (more info to come soon). Was great to do some filming with the duo who won last year’s competition, they have some fantastic work in the pipeline.
With a quick visit to the Virgin Games and Virgin Money teams too, we also headed to Capital FM to talk about the London Marathon.
Although the day started with ‘hellos’, it culminated with a fond ‘farewell’ as we gave Steve Ridgway, CEO of Virgin Atlantic, a true Virgin send off – we’ll miss you. However, like all families our door is always open for tea and cakes!
Today we are up in Newcastle to celebrate the first anniversary of Virgin Money joining up with Northern Rock. We'll also be meeting some of the young entrepreneurs who have started fantastic new businesses with the help of the Start-Up Loans scheme. Will keep you posted...
