Virgin America's new uniforms: black boots vs red heels
Virgin America has teamed up with Banana Republic on new uniforms for its in-flight and airport staff that harkens back to the golden age of flying – and we hope you’ll agree they are absolutely stunners.

Sporting bet comes good at London 2012
A sporting bet we made back in 2006 is coming good this summer at the London Olympics. Six years ago Virgin Atlantic launched a £1 million per year scheme for young athletes to help them prepare for the 2012 Olympics. The Flying Start programme with UK Sport gave flight discounts and travel benefits to 450 medal hopefuls during the build-up to the London Games. A chat with David Miliband
Enjoyed chatting with the MP David Miliband for the New Statesman recently. We had fun debating everything from democracy to university, The Elders to banking, and much else besides.We also discussed Radio 1, the Olympics and even the time David knocked on my door while canvassing in the 1980s.
