Now that’s what I call career progression!

We’ve always tried to provide exciting career progression at Virgin but this one takes the biscuit! There’s been a flurry of test flight activity at Virgin Galactic over the past few weeks and I just heard that SpaceShipTwo had touched down again safely after another high altitude launch and glide test flight.                        The special thing about this flight …

How did you meet your partner?

How did you meet your partner? A happy couple got in touch recently to share their story of how they got together - on a Virgin Atlantic flight! In a story not too far removed from the new Virgin Produced movie Departure Date, which was filmed completely on Virgin airlines, Michael and Claire met on board a Virgin Atlantic flight from London to New York.Michael plucked up the courage to ask a Virgin flight attendant, Stephen Hawkes (our very own cupid!) to deliver a note to the beautiful woman he…

World record fun

Today is the anniversary of the day we broke the world record for the fastest crossing of the Atlantic. We attempted to break the record 27 years ago and sank. One of the first things that stands out when visiting countries is not just their differences compared to other nations, but their similarities. We live in a wonderful multi-cultural society, where people are largely accepted for who they are wherever they go.So it is extremely saddening when you come across exceptions to this. I was recently forwarded a frighteningly effective and misleading song that t…

Between Two Ferns

Enjoyed a fairytale in New York recently with Zach Galifianakis. We talked about everything from hot air baboons to knighthoods and I even got to try out stand up comedy. The hilarious Tina Fey and Jon Stewart are in the video too. Hope you enjoy it!…

What do you think is GREAT?

From music to the arts, from exploring to sport, the UK has a lot to be proud of. One of the things British people have been good at is going and trading globally. With the right team of people you can achieve pretty well anything. A sense of humour is extremely important too. Don't take yourself too seriously, let your hair down - cut someone’s tie off! What do you think is GREAT about the UK?…
