Orange County, here we come

It's 6:30a.m. PT and I'm onboard a Virgin America plane to help launch the service to Orange County. I have finished one morning show and am waiting for the lads of Attack of the Show, a popular gaming show on G4, to join us. I hear they are geeky so they will be happy to know that all Orange County flights are wifi enabled and they can play Doom all flight long. Chris, the host, just walked onboard and said it looks like a nightclub in here. He lamented having to fly another carrier (United) to…

Heat, a little space dust and a 3rd win!

After a couple of weeks watching from the sidelines it was great to be back trackside to cheer on the team in the heat of Bahrain. Temperatures were meant to have topped 50c on parts of the track and I hear Jenson burned his backside on part of the car.Burns aside, what a race and result for Jenson - three wins out of four races is an amazing achievement at the start of any season. Rubens also finished in the points and Brawn GP is leading the constructors by a mile.Eagle-eyed supporters may hav…

Shanghai Grand Prix - another race, another rain-storm!

Another race, another rain-storm! At least this time, the grey skies and rain in Shanghai did not stop the Grand Prix early - as it had in Malaysia - and we got the full 56 laps.It made for a challenging race with treacherous conditions and a lack of visibility making it tough to keep on the track, let alone pass other cars. On TV it appeared the drivers were steering blind through lakes on many corners and I was amazed we did not see more spins.Despite the rain, I am pleased to report another s…

F1 victory for Brawn GP & Virgin in Malaysia

Well done to all. Two races and two wins!Sadly I could not be in Malaysia this weekend but I kept in touch with the team's progress through regular reports from the pitlane. It was another fantastic and historic result with Jenson grabbing back to back wins in this shortened race - before the storms set in, the light faded and the Grand Prix had to be abandoned. It was dramatic stuff as he raced back to the front with great skill and poise. A really stunning start to the season.I know we should n…

F1 success for Brawn GP & Virgin at Melbourne

Hi there,I've just caught my breath after an amazing weekend in Melbourne, full of excitement, drama and great success!Holly and I only arrived on Saturday morning to launch our partnership with Ross Brawn and his team. Within hours our two drivers Jenson Button and Ruben Barrichello had stormed qualifying and were on the front of the Grid (first and second spots for the race). What a fairytale start.Race Day was even better. We watched from the pit-lane, to get the full force of the noise and a…

Virgin to partner with Brawn GP for Formula 1

I'm at the Melbourne Grand Prix this weekend and I am delighted to announce that the Virgin Group has secured a partnership with the Brawn GP team. This is Virgin's first foray in to the world of Formula 1.The Brawn Grand Prix team will race the Virgin car for the first time at Melbourne, driven by Jenson Button and Rubens Barrichello.I have always said I would love to have a Virgin car on the circuit. I am thrilled to be involved with people as skilled as Ross Brawn and his team. Over the year…
