Hurricane provides dramatic end to Virgin Galactic's SpaceShipTwo event
Hurricane force winds hit Mojave Air and Spaceport CA on Monday evening where we had all gathered to witness the roll out of Virgin Galactic's first commercial manned spaceship.
We braved gale force winds and stormy weather, to see SpaceShipTwo for the first time. As we were celebrating, an evacuation was called by local officials who had become aware of the approaching storm.

Virgin Galactic ethics
Over the last few days I have been asked about the ethics and the rationale behind the Virgin Galactic suborbital space program. So I thought it best to outline a few my thoughts here on why I think this is such an important initiative to get behind and invest in.Since the 1960s, space technology has played a big role in helping scientific research, weather forecasting, communications and climate studies. Introducing Virgin Galactic SpaceShipTwo

Virgin London Marathon update
Since the launch of Virgin Money Giving on 14 October we have had a great response, and lots of running man videos coming in. My personal favourite is the ‘DaviesBruvvers’ fantastic interpretation of the Running Man – they certainly outdid my attempts at the dance which you can also see on my YouTube page! Take a look for yourself and why not put together your own video - remember for every running man video submitted to YouTube, £5 will go to charity. The Run with Richard

Doing the running man for Virgin Money Giving
I had an energetic start on Wednesday morning and had a full day of telling people about Virgin Money Giving and our sponsorship of the Virgin London Marathon. Joining in with 200 people in our take on the running man dance was a great way to start the day - and to dust off my training shoes... Virgin Money Giving is an organisation that I am very proud of. It reflects my belief that profit should be used to do something good for society at large and that’s exactly w

This month's PitchTV show is now airing onboard Virgin Atlantic planes, exposing the latest batch of video pitches from budding entreprenuers to the hundreds of business professionals who regularly fly with Virgin Atlantic. Hopefully among the people watching in the air or online here will be someone who might be willing to help take one of these business ideas forward.
