Virgin Money revamps environmental web site

Virgin Unite partner Green Light Trust (GLT), a Suffolk-based environmental conservation charity, has unveiled a new web site after a complete revamping by Virgin Money volunteers. Staff spanning the web, design, marketing and copywriting departments offered their skills and time to transform the website with a new brand identity and fresh and inspired design.

'We're very proud of the new web site and hope it generates increased interest, volunteers and donations for Green Light Trust,' says Charley Watkins, Head of Marketing at Virgin Bank.

Charley continues: 'Miranda Campbell, Marketing Manager for Savings and Investments, and I visited GLT and decided that helping to improve their website was where we could add most value. We talked to people in a variety of roles at GLT to understand their objectives and how they use the site. We then wrote a brief detailing what was needed and rounded up as many volunteers as we could!

'Phil Towers, E-Commerce Marketing Manager, developed the new architecture for the web site site structure while Lee Cozens produced the initial design. The main bulk of the work (and it has been an enormous amount of work!) has been carried out by site developers Tom Haczewski and Andy Bryant with support from Lee Cozens and copywriters Heidi Williamson and Catherine Cobley. They have all spent many, many hours of their own time in the evenings and weekends on this project. Their dedication shows how inspiring we find GLT and how much we admire their work!'

'We’re thrilled with the new web site,' says Nigel Hughes, GLT’s Chief Executive. 'It will enable us to promote our services in an attractive and compelling way and already we are generating new business enquiries. We’d like to extend grateful thanks to everyone at Virgin Money—your contribution has made a huge difference!'
