Virgin Australia Sustainability Report 2011

Virgin Australia has just released their Annual Report which includes their first sustainability report. It contains information on how they have performed so far both in the air and on the ground as well as how they will be moving forward.
“In positioning the company to be sustainable for the long term, we are acutely aware of the importance of operational efficiency and our own impact on the environment and the community,” explained John Borghetti, Chief Executive Officer.
“In December 2010, our Board of Directors formalised a vision for the airline to become a sustainability leader in the aviation industry and we have done considerable work this year on charting our current position and goals,” he added.
