This year more than 6,700 cities and towns in 152 countries worldwide took part in the World Wildlife Fund organised Earth Hour. This year the core theme for Earth Hour was ‘I Will If You Will’ and over 200,000 people accepted this challenge, including our very own Virgin Limited Edition Ulusaba team!
The Ulusaba Ranger and Tracker Team challenged their guests to sponsor a Rhino and they would wear a rather fetching bright pink shirt for the day! All of the funds raised went towards the Sabi Sand Game Reserve Anti-Poaching team to help them purchase much needed tents and camping equipment for the many nights spent out in the bush protecting the magnificent and highly endangered Rhino.
The guests responded to the challenged with great gusto and 10 out of the team of 18 rangers and trackers got to wear their shirts with pride! If you would like more information on the Rhino initiative, Pride and Purpose or how you can get involved, please contact Lindsay on pride@ulusaba.virgin.com.
