Richard Branson named eco-celeb of the week

Richard Branson has been named eco-celeb of the week by a leading sustainability website.

The Virgin Founder's environmental work was recognised online the week after he returned from a series of talks at Rio+20.

Greenwala.com blogged: "One would think with such a heavy load on Richard’s plate, that he wouldn’t have time to think about the environment, but that’s not so. It seems he doesn’t let anything dissuade him from protecting the planet."

They highlighted various initiatives supported by Richard Branson and Virgin, from the Carbon War Room to the Earth Challenge.
