Walk Free: The Movement to End Modern Slavery is today launching its global campaign calling on large businesses to put an end to slavery.
Richard Branson, along with Walk Free members globally, are calling on the world’s major corporations to end modern slavery by identifying, eradicating and preventing forced labour in their operations and supply chains.
Upon signing Walk Free's pledge, the Virgin Group Founder said: “I am delighted to be able to sign this pledge on behalf of all the Virgin group of companies and I would urge other businesses to do the same.”
The campaign is today calling on many of the world’s major companies to make a Zero Tolerance for Slavery Pledge by March 31st 2013. A list of companies asked to partake can be found on Walk Free’s website.
You can find out more by reading this Financial Times article on the issue.
