Live Google+ Hangout with Elders for International Day of The Girl

Further to their call to action to end child marriage, in celebration of today's International Day of The Girl, Mary Robinson will take part in a live Google+ online discussion at 2pm GMT that will be streamed on The Elders’ website and live tweeted.

Mary Robinson will be joined by child marriage experts, UNICEF and activists to discuss how we can enable millions of girls to fulfil their potential. Put your comments and questions to the panel here.

Join the discussion and show your support via Twitter with an #endchildmarriage Twibbon. To see how the Twibbon looks, visit the Girls Not Brides Twitter page. To add a Twibbon, follow the instructions here.

Every year of secondary school raises a girl's future wages by up to 25 per cent. Yet for the 10 million girls married off each year before they turn 18, marriage often means the end of their education.

To find out what you can do to help end child marriage and give millions of girls worldwide the chance to determine their own future visit: http://www.theelders.org/article/international-day-girl-2012
