Good luck to the Virgin Unite Staff Connection Team

Every year, Virgin Unite brings together a wonderful team of 10 Virgin staff from across the group for a week of hands-on volunteering with Pride ‘n Purpose, the charitable arm of Ulusaba in South Africa who are committed to helping the communities living adjacent to the Sabi Sand Reserve.

This year, the team have been fundraising up a storm to fundraise for the building of a brand new community centre. The centre will boast a food garden, a kitchen and dining hall, an internet café, a recreational hall and organic food garden. The team will also be spending a day in Johannesburg with the amazing Branson Centre entrepreneurs, and visiting the amazing Virgin Active in Soweto!

Meet the team:

Chris Thompson – Virgin Mobile Canada
Angela Allgood – Virgin Management
Richard Haydon – Virgin Money
Luke Evans – Virgin Australia
Kirsty Barrie – Virgin Active UK
Steve Pullen – Virgin Media UK
Shelly Gerrish – Virgin America
Ted Brumleve – Virgin Hotels
Suneet Sehmi – Virgin Holidays
Adam Damons – Virgin Mobile South Africa

Fundraising fun!
The team smashed the fundraising target through bake sales, yard sales, trivia nights, raffles, pool dunks and more! Collectively, they have fundraised a record-breaking £20,000. To make a donation, visit their fundraising page.

Follow the team as they take over Virgin Unite’s Facebook and Twitter page, where they will post daily updates, photos and videos to keep you posted on their experience of a lifetime.

Good luck to all involved!
