Lovefoxxx and her CSS guy and gals played storming sets at all four VFestivals across Australia. Pretty pastel balloons across their stage heralded the upbeat party atmosphere they bought to each show and that anachronistic lumberjack shirt was soon shrugged off those slinky Lovefoxxx shoulders to reveal the trademark taste-challenging lyrca catsuits. Having spent most of each day at all the VFests asking you the punters who you were mostly there to see - top of the pops came either CSS and The Presets or Smashing Pumpkins and Queens Of The Stone Age. Electro-indie kids or seasoned grungers. Marvellous - always lovely to have both boxes resolutely ticked at one music festival. What bargain. I was treated to a pre-fest exclusive from CSS when I snuck in to the recording of the MTV's The Lair. There they demonstrated just what the crowds were in for and they more than adequatley upped their game from small and initimate to huge and stadium-like - challenging the more hardy festival acts on offer on the other stage and offering a sharp injection of cutting edge cool as night fell and The Presets beckoned. Catch this wee video clip to see what happened when I blagged my way in to the pit at the Gold Coast VFestival just as CSS took the stage...
