Kasabian headline Great Escape Festival
- Feb 20, 2009
Kasabian have been confirmed as the headliner for this year's Great Escape Festival down by the Brighton seaside.
The Leicester lad rockers will be joined by the likes of Little Boots and local heroes British Sea Power at the annual event, which takes place on May 14th, 15th and 16th.
Usually, the event opts for the cutting edge of breaking bands from around the globe, with a smattering of established acts - and this year is no different.
While Kasabian will be attracting the crowds, dozens of venues dotted around the city will be hosting a plethora of new talent, including the Soft Pack, the Big Pink and VV Brown.
It is one of those newfangled wristband-gets-you-in-everywhere-unless-it-is-already-full-then-you-head-to-the-beach/pub type festivals and is well worth a trip down south.
In the past, the likes of the Ting Tings, Klaxons and Vampire Weekend have gone on to big things after playing the festival, which has been likened to SXSW, but with more drizzle and fewer Texans.
Tickets are available now and there are still many names to join the line up, with this lot already confirmed to play:
