Ian Moss on the ANZAC Weekend
- Apr 28, 2008
After a rather pleasant Saturday afternoon in the backyard with mates sipping rocket fuel ooooohh yeah, I was off to the illustrious Southport RSL for the Ian Moss & Co. 'Let's Get Together' gig.
Who, you're asking yourself? For shame. It was ANZAC Day weekend and the not-so-young Gold Coast crowds (plus myself) were out to celebrate with Ian, Jon Stevens (Noiseworks) and Bachelor Girl the only way we knew how.
There was 'Hot Chilli Woman', there was 'Telephone Booth', there was even a version of 'Light My Fire' which I didn't hate. You could get close enough to lick the sweat from Ian's boots, if that's your thing. Most importantly of all, there were two (2) bars in a venue meant for no more than two-thousand people. Oh yeah.
To Paul Simon -
There's no need to wear cordoroy, or there's no need to be coy, Roy? You make your decision, I've made mine.
