Is it just me or is Portland, Oregon the mecca of solo multi-instrumentalists?  I keep hearing and writing about artists consistently from there who exhibit that handmade 'folktronic' feel in their music.  The newest artist to include in that list is Cars & Trains.

The moniker for recording artist Tom Filepp, Cars & Trains mix out-of-the-box electronics and found sounds seamlessly with a myriad of instruments, woodwinds, banjos, acoustic guitars, strings and glockenspiel.  Live its performed energetically with looping pedals.  I'm digging the track 'I Know Someone Who Can't Recognize', from the video below.
