Start-ups offered unique advertising opportunity

Are you ready for The Big Kick Off? Virgin Money certainly are, as they offer one start-up the chance to advertise their business, for free, at a Premier League football game this season.

One fledgling business is to be given a winning start to trading, as they get the opportunity to have their branding placed on pitch side hoardings around St. James’ Park during the Newcastle United v Liverpool game, taking place on April 27th 2013.

The competition marks the launch of the UK Government’s new Start-Up Loans scheme, which was publicly unveiled by Virgin Money and Virgin Unite last week. The Virgin companies were also joined by Newcastle captain Fabio Coloccini and young star Shane Ferguson, who both gave The Big Kick Off their backing.

The winning business will be placed in front of the eyes of 52,000 football fans in the stadium, as well as the millions watching via television, ensuring a truly global reach.

To be in with a chance of your getting your brand out there, all you need to do is successfully apply for a Start-Up loan by January 31st 2013.

“If you’re sitting on a great business idea now could be the perfect time to do something about it. The North East needs more young entrepreneurs. So sign up for Start-Up,” explained Richard Branson on his blog today, himself a keen supporter of the initiative.
