Virgin Mobile Latin America has announced plans to target the youth market as they launch networks in both Colombia and Chile later this year, reported Total Telecom this week.
"When you have a high mobile penetration, the challenge for a big network operator is to be all things to all people," said Virgin Mobile chief executive Peter Macnee.
"So when they partner with someone like us, we focus on one thing: We focus on the youth."
As previously reported, Virgin Mobile Latin America will be holding a massive pool party in Santiago, Chile in March as party of a series of events to mark their birth in the country.
Meanwhile in Colombia the mobile operator will be partnering with the theatre chain Cine Colombia, in order to effectively reach target markets.
Following services being launched in Chile in Colombia focus will be shifted to Brazil, Argentina, Mexico and Peru, in what promises to be an exciting time for Virgin in Latin America.
