Virgin Mobile USA tops customer service poll

Consumers have named Virgin Mobile USA as the top performer in terms of customer service for prepaid 4G contracts.
The findings are the result of research conducted by J.D. Power and Associates, which showed Virgin to have an index score significantly higher than the industry average.
The 2012 US Wireless Customer Care Performance Full-Service and Non- Contract Studies report also pointed to the fact that the introduction of fourth generation phones has resulted in increased contact between customer and provider, with more emphasis consequently being placed on customer service.
60 per cent of 4G smartphone owners have contacted their carrier in the past six months, a figure far greater than those using a traditional handset. Although when only taking Virgin Mobile USA customers into consideration the figure fell to 39 per cent.
Not only did Virgin Mobile USA come out as the top performer for the past six months, they also experienced the largest improvement of any provider from the previous years’ study.
