Virgin is heading to Poland, as Virgin Mobile Central and Eastern Europe launches in the country later this summer - the first market for the newly formed holding company.
The launch in Poland will provide Virgin with a strong platform in the Central and Eastern Europe region. Poland has an attractive and accessible telecommunications market, offering significant potential for mobile virtual network operator growth.
"I look for opportunities where we can offer something better, fresher and more valuable. I am excited to launch the Virgin Mobile brand in Poland,” explained Richard Branson.
“The Polish consumer will benefit from Virgin's entry into the market; creating competition, providing great customer service, value for money and transparent pricing."
Virgin Mobile is already the world's largest international mobile virtual network operator and operates mobile telecommunications businesses in eight countries around the world including the UK, Australia, Canada, France, India, Chile, South Africa and the USA.
Virgin Mobile Central and Eastern Europe was founded in 2011 by a team of experienced telecom investors, together with former Virgin Mobile executives.
