Virgin Media Shorts have revealed the 13 films to make the cut for the final of this year’s competition, with the chosen finalists representing a diverse mix of film-making talent.

The films were last night unveiled at a live series of screenings around the UK, with Picturehouse cinemas in Edinburgh, Exeter, York and Liverpool all taking part.

The Grand Prize will be announced in November, with a judging panel of; British actress Julie Waters, film maker Phyllida Lloyd, young director Mat Whitecross, previous winner Luke Snellin, founder of Sundog Pictures Sam Branson, film critic James King, Director of the BFI Film Fund Ben Roberts and Virgin Media Executive Director of Digital Entertainment Cindy Rose all currently in deliberation.

In the meantime, you can have your say and vote for the People’s Choice Award. To watch the films, head over to the Virgin Media Shorts website and then vote for your favourite through Facebook or on Twitter via the #VMShortsVote hashtag.
