Virgin Media have announced plans to create 60 new jobs in its customer contact centre in North Lanarkshire, as the company responds to the growing demand for its television and broadband services.
The centre, which is based in Bellshill, already houses 750 employees and is set to advertise the new posts over the next two weeks. Virgin Media currently employees over 2,000 staff across the UK, a number which is expected to steadily rise over the next year.
"By creating more opportunities, we will be able to meet the sustained appetite for TiVo, already the leading connected TV service in the country, and superfast broadband and ensure a great experience for all our customers," commented Virgin Media's chief operating officer, Andrew Barron.
