The return of Teletext Holidays

Virgin Media have announced the return of Teletext Holidays, as the service comes to screens around the country in the new and improved format of an interactive TV service.
With Teletext Holidays soon to depart from their digital terrestrial TV platform, fears had risen that the family favourite was to become a thing of the past. However with the service now on TiVo, viewers will be able to search through special deals, confirming the brand’s plans to focus their operations into online and ‘app’ formats.
“The flexibility of Virgin Media’s TiVo service has enabled Teletext Holidays to bring its much-loved holiday deals back to TV. TiVo customers can now go from watching their favourite holiday show to planning a getaway of their own with just a few clicks of their TiVo remote,” explained Aleks Habdank, Virgin Media ‘on-demand director’.
“This is just the kind of interactive experience that we know our customers get excited about, and with TiVo’s constantly evolving range of innovative apps and services there really is something for everyone to enjoy.”
The new app will sit alongside the already varied range of current Virgin Media TiVo apps, such as the new Star Trek feature.
