It's time to vote up or shut up

Virgin Mobile USA has teamed up with dosomething.org to empower young voters to have their say in the upcoming US Presidential election.

Voters under the age of 30 have the power to make a change in politics, yet only half are currently registered to vote. Registering to vote is the first step in becoming involved in the political system and it is this that the ‘Vote Up or Shut Up’ campaign is looking to encourage young people to do.

By signing up, and then encouraging three friends to do so, will give participants the chance to win a $4,000 scholarship.

Over 50% of leaders in the US were first elected between the ages of 18 and 35, while one in five eligible voters are under the age of 35.
