Home sweet home for Virgin Media Business

Research conducted by Virgin Media Business has pointed towards a startling increase in the number of people working from home during the next decade, reported Grapevine Magazine this week.

According to the study, which involved 5,000 company bosses, more than half of employees will work from home in the next ten years.

As many as 72% of those asked thought that face to face meetings, with both colleagues and customers, could soon be a thing of the past.

“There’s a change coming to the way we work. Remote working isn’t anything new, but with technology providing the right tools for the job, the acceptance that is will soon be the norm is,” Tony Grace, Chief Operating Officer of Virgin Media Business.

“There will always be a case for having a main office, but if you can make your staff happy by allowing them to work remotely, reduce their commuting time and give staff the freedom to work in a way that suits them, then why wouldn’t you take it.”
