Fight for your right to Love on Facebook
- Mar 15, 2011
Who wants to 'like' when you can 'love'? Virgin Mobile want to spread the love on Facebook.
The Virgin Love Button app is here to mark the beginning of a movement to add a Love Button to Facebook.
Ever-loveable Mandy Moore is spearheading the campaign with Virgin Mobile to get Facebook to share the love.
Until the Love Button is official on Facebook, Virgin Mobile is introducing a new app to allow fans to show Love on Facebook right now.
You can Love your favourite photos, Love friends' statuses, Love links, Love pages – Love really will be all around with the Love Button app.
Mandy Moore said: "With a Love Button, I’d get to share those special posts, pages and photos that I don’t just like – I love.
"I get what the button is about. I don’t want to just like things on my profile but love them, especially things like comments from fans or news about my favourite artists."
What's more, for the first half million items loved on Facebook through the Virgin Love Button app, Virgin Mobile will make a $0.05 donation to the Red Cross and relief efforts in Japan.
If you want to give some extra Love, you can also give to the Red Cross by texting ASIA to 30333 to donate $5.
To show how much we want the Love Button on Facebook, Virgin Mobile are running a public Love-Fest in Toronto later this month.
The Love-Fest will take place on March 28th, with Love Button supporters taking to the streets to convince Facebook they need a whole lotta Love Buttons.
