Yesterday Richard Branson revealed one of his favourite places to get away from it all, telling his Twitter followers: “The Lodge in Verbier is one of my favourite places to #holiday. “
So what is it exactly that the Virgin Group founder likes so much about the mountain retreat? Based in the Swiss Alps the Lodge offers guests the perfect chance to relax, while taking in some breath-taking scenery.
The property, which is privately owned by Branson, is usually only open to bookings of 18 guests, although throughout March and April 2012 rooms will be able to be booked hotel style – making it the perfect place to take a quick ski holiday.
Once you’re there you’ll be able to take a dip in the Jacuzzis or heated pools, experience some fine dining, test out the mountain bikes or even try your hand at curling on the mini ice-rink (weather permitting).
