Virgin Wines once again took London by storm this weekend, as they returned for the eighth consecutive year for a sell-out wine tasting event.
The wine retailer hosted the event at the exclusive Waldorf Hilton Hotel, with more than 900 wine lovers attending the afternoon session to take up the chance to taste from a range of over 250 wines.
Wines were presented in categories such as ‘Clean and Crisp’, ‘Fragrant but Dry’ and ‘Full and Fruity’ to allow customers to taste wines from their preferred style. There was also a selection of themed tables for customers to work their way around, including ‘Top 12 Wines’, ‘Hidden Treasures’, ‘Focus on Spain’ and ‘Virtual Winery - The Rioja Experience’.

“Our London tasting is our flagship event from a programme of over 40 tastings that we host around the country each year,” explained Jay Wright, Managing Director at Virgin Wines.
“The buzz during both the Friday evening and Saturday tasting was incredible and it was a fantastic opportunity for our customers to meet with the Virgin Wines’ team, the Winemakers and taste from our range of wines.”
Virgin Wines continues to take its tasting programme around the UK, with its next tasting in Cambridge on Thursday 18th October. Further details are available at the Virgin Wines website.
