Virgin Produced have announced a partnership with Vevo to create a run of music-themed programmes, to appear on Virgin America flights.
Red, the airline’s in-flight entertainment network, will showcase the 30 minute programmes which will feature content from the likes of Katy Perry, Coldplay, Rihanna, will.i.am, Graffiti6 and David Guetta.
In addition, a series of ‘Vevo Sound + City’ shows will highlight the musical heritage of Virgin America destinations, such as the airline’s home base of San Francisco (pictured above).
"The expansion of our channel programming to include high-quality music offerings through a partnership with Vevo will provide our viewers and Virgin America guests with the music content they once were only able to enjoy on the ground," explained Jason Felts, CEO of Virgin Produced.
Felts also added that Virgin has long considered music "the foundation of and continues to be a meaningful part of the DNA of our brand”.
The Vevo partnership content will play alongside Virgin Produced’s existing shows on Red, which launched in April of this year.
