Virgin Digital Help launches
You may have noticed something big happening in digital land today, as the Virgin Group welcomes another new and exciting business to the fold – the first new UK consumer business in three years in-fact. That on its own makes it a pretty exciting day for Virgin, and the consumer (you), as Virgin Digital Help launches to put an end to digital woes and to ‘make digital stuff work’.
Virgin Digital Help has been created to put an end to digital stress by helping you to get your digital stuff working properly. How have we done this you ask? We scanned the globe for the best technical expertise and applied the Virgin magic to make it ultra useful and ultra simple. What’s the result? A great new service geared totally around you and your digital problems.
To make sure we could offer you the best service, we did a lot of research, to understand exactly what you love (and hate) about technology, and the companies and service providers that provide it to you. We completed over 2000 interviews and the results were shocking, to say the least. A third of you have said that your digital stuff has caused you real stress, with 78% of you having shouted at technology, 21% having thrown gadgets against the wall, and 14% have even punched technology. Nice.
Our research also showed us where the UK’s real pain points are. The top four offenders for breaking down in your home are computers (46%), getting different things to work together (28%), wireless networks (26%), and printers malfunctioning (25%). When faced with these problems, 78% of you would consider spending two hours trying to fix a gadget on your own instead of spending 20 minutes on the phone with customer service. All in all, 46% of you stated that you are afraid to try new technology
Virgin Digital Help wants to change all that and we can help in many ways. We have developed a unique, free downloadable toolkit called our desktop Digital Helper. It is packed with automated software to fix and tune up your computer and gives you access to over 100 free self-help guides, helping you solve over half of the most common digital problems. Plus we have expert teams, able to support you over the phone or at home. We can even fix problems while you wait (and watch) using smart remote control technologies, with your permission of course.
