The 2012 Design Week is approaching, with it bringing a celebration of innovative and unique designs, looking at every field imaginable - from technology to art, from food to transport.
Accompanying the week-long event is an awards ceremony, taking place on June 13th in London. The awards shortlist includes a number of internationally recognised brands, such as the BBC, Heineken and Apple as well as three Virgin companies – Virgin Atlantic, Virgin Unite and Virgin Holidays.

Virgin Holidays have been nominated for their impressive Flagship store, a picture of which can be seen above. Meanwhile Virgin Unite have been given a nod for their Homelessness Campaign and Virgin Atlantic have been recognised for their Economy Meal Service.
Last year saw the ‘Best of Show’ Prize collected by Apple for the iPad. What’s your favourite nomination this time round? And can you think of any that have been missed out from this year’s list? Visit the Design Week Awards website to have a look for yourself.
