The million pound makeover

Today sees the official unveiling of Virgin Active’s Belfast home, following a £1.4 million refurbishment.
The occasion will be marked by a VIP launch party at the health club tonight, featuring a children’s dance class, zumba demonstration, triathlon fast class on the gym floor as well as founding members cutting the ribbon and cake.
The health club is the only one in the area to offer a registered crèche and also boasts cutting edge fitness machines, Puma Fass Classes and BODYPUMP exercise studios.
“After such a fantastic summer of sport it is great to offer the people of Belfast the opportunity to use the latest fitness equipment to be their personal best,” commented Andy Hutchinson, General Manager at Virgin Active Belfast.
“The brand new crèche also showcases Virgin Active Belfast as more than just a work-out space, it is a place for the whole family to enjoy.”
Members of the Belfast Giants and Ulster Rugby will frequently train at the club, giving their seal of approval to the only Virgin Active in the country.
