The latest Virgin pilots

With so many different forms of air travel in the Virgin Group, we’re constantly recruiting new pilots. Last week saw Virgin Galactic’s first ever female pilot get behind the wheel of WhiteKnightTwo, while this week sees Virgin Balloon Flights recruit four new crew members.
The new pilots – Bart D’Hooge, Chris Oxby, Pete Philpot and Russell Collins join the team in time for a hectic summer season. With favourable weather conditions as of late, it looks to be a good time for getting in the basket and exploring the countryside.
“Balloon flying privileges you to see the beautiful countryside up-close and at a pace where you have time to enjoy it and take in the detail from above. The job satisfaction gained from witnessing someone’s balloon experience and seeing them beaming after their flight is hard to beat,” explains Collins.
If you’d like to join one of the pilots on a flight, then there’s still time to enter the Virgin Balloon Flights’ competition to win a free flight for two.
