The Elders have started their search for a Chief Executive Officer, as they look for further support in implementing their mission to advance peace building and support human rights.
The Elders, who are an independent group of eminent global leaders brought together by Nelson Mandela, have been working tirelessly for the past five years as they look to assist peace negotiations and support human rights issues.
Members of The Elders include President Jimmy Carter, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, former President of Ireland Mary Robinson and former Brazilian President Fernando Henrique Cardoso.
Applicants for the role of CEO should have a track record that combines senior leadership with high integrity, credibility and experience in the fields of international affairs, human rights and/or development. An understanding of international policy making and/or donor relations management would be valuable.
