Richard Branson’s South African connection

Richard Branson recently travelled to South Africa to host a Virgin Unite connection trip, taking in Virgin inspired initiatives such as the Branson Centre of Entrepreneurship.

Along with community members and Virgin Unite CEO, Jean Oelwang, Branson was able to see the positive impact the Centre has had on the local community.

As the Virgin Group founder explained, the role of businesses such as Virgin can be crucial in the fight against inequality: “Politicians play a very important role and so do social workers but I think business can and must play the most important role, otherwise a lot of the problems in the world will not be fixed.”
