Richard Branson has selected his Deputy Editor, as he prepares to guest edit Metro newspapers this week for the October 4th editions.
Juan Nicolas Pinzon Guevara from Bogotá, Colombia (pictured above) was selected as the winner of Metro’s Mission: Branson worldwide competition after impressing the Virgin Group Founder with a creative, animated CV video that followed him from a baby to a professional entrepreneur and businessman.
“I almost shed a tear, I’ve never felt this before! I immediately called my mother and my father - they are very, very happy. I’d never even won a raffle! I was in the middle of a meeting and thought: ‘This can’t be happening’,” explained Pinzon Guevara, who will be flown to New York to join Branson.
“I feel very flattered, and thrilled that the world can know that there are people in Colombia that, through hard work and dedication, you can strive to get ahead. You can make it in a world as competitive as the one we live in with innovative ideas.”
For all the latest on Branson’s day in the newsroom, check back to Virgin later in the week as we bring you live coverage.
