Richard Branson joins LinkedIn 'influencers'

Richard Branson has joined the likes of President Barack Obama on LinkedIn’s new list of ‘influencers’, as the website looks to offer expert advice to its 175 million users.

Business moguls, internet bloggers, entrepreneurs, politicians and self-help gurus will make up the influencers panel, who will offer tips and advice through a series of blogs.

The Virgin Group Founder has started his role as an influencer by compiling his top five tips to starting a business, urging entrepreneurs to keep it simple and have fun.

“As LinkedIn is a business that started in a living room, much like Virgin began in a basement, I thought my first blog on the site should be about how to simply start a successful business,” wrote Branson.

To read the blog, or to see what advice other influencers have to share, head over to LinkedIn.
