Freefest breaks charity donation record

Virgin Mobile Live have paid thanks to all those who attended this year’s Freefest, following news that the festival has broken its charity donation record.
The largest annual free music event in America, which was this year headlined by the likes of Nas, Jack White, Santigold and Alabama Shakes, raised $250,000 for Virgin Mobile Live’s Re*Generation initiative (which also receives Virgin Unite support).
Last year’s FreeFest raised enough money to help build a Re*Gen youth homeless shelter in Washington, D.C., run by Sasha Bruce, which is set to open this autumn. Funds raised this year will go toward operating the shelter for two years.

To celebrate the success, and pay thanks to live music fans, Virgin Mobile Live has collected a series of wonderfully joyous GIFS, with our personal favourite being this Anchor Man classic.
