Following the success of their inaugural Virtual Winery last year, based on the Pallavicini Estate in Italy, Virgin Wines have announced plans to open a second in Rioja.
The innovative Finca Manzanos Winery in Rioja, with its six generations of wine-making experience, will host the interactive project which should see red wine ready to drink by April 2013.
Those participating will receive regular email updates keeping them up to date on the evolution of their wine, be able to follow progress via the Virtual Winemaker blog, be encouraged to vote on certain aspects of the winemaking process, be able to sample the wine at an exclusive preview party and two lucky Virtual Winemakers (plus guest) will be invited on an all expenses paid trip to visit the Finca Manzanos estate and help craft the wine firsthand.

Customers are encouraged to participate as heavily as possible in the wine-making process, through ratings on the Virgin Wines website, discussion on their blog and sharing thoughts on Facebook.
If you’d like to find out more or sign up to the unique experience and help create your own masterpiece, head over to the Virgin Wines website.
