Eddie Kidd completes Marathon journey
- Jun 09, 2011
Inspirational motorcycle daredevil Eddie Kidd has completed the 2011 Virgin London Marathon.
Famed for his daring bike stunts, Eddie Kidd finished the 2011 Virgin London Marathon on the Mall earlier this week, with friends, family and celebrities on hand to celebrate with him.
Eddie Kidd suffered serious head injuried after a motorcycle accident in 1996, but made it round the gruelling 26.2 mile Virgin London Marathon course with the help of a custom made walking frame - not to mention the support of his wife and carers.
Virgin Money Giving, who have been following Eddie's story closely, were on hand at the finish line to present Eddie with a letter of congratulation from Richard Branson and a certificate.
Eddie Kidd has raised more than £92,000 including Gift Aid for CHILDREN with CANCER UK and the Eddie Kidd Foundation so far.
