CNBC meets Richard Branson - full video interview

At the age of just sixteen, Richard Branson created the Virgin brand that all started with Virgin Records. Forty-one years later the Virgin brand has become a multi-million conglomerate associated with over four hundred different companies.

Now Richard Branson has filmed an in-depth interview with CNBC about all aspects of his life and career - you can watch the whole show below.

Richard credits much of his success to his parents and the way in which he was brought up where his parents wanted him to do things and ‘not watch others do things’.

The Virgin Founder has become infamous for his high risk adventures to put Virgin on the map, yet Richard puts this down to his sheer attitude to life. he said; "In life it’s much more fun to say yes than no." Although his stunts have unquestionably added to the uniqueness of the Virgin brand, Richard stresses that what makes Virgin different from other companies is the brand’s desire to ‘shake things up’.

Undeniably the Virgin brand has become one of the largest in the world, yet Richard is determined to utilise his success in a constructive and positive way. An example includes Richard’s creation of The Elders, which constitutes of a group of leaders that all share a passionate desire for human rights and peace.
