Space Travel, Flight and Tourism
- May 20, 2009
Virgin Galactic Virgin Galactic is the world's first spaceline. Giving you the groundbreaking opportunity to become one of the first ever non-professional astronauts.
It used to be the final frontier, but space travel will soon be possible for aspiring astronauts everywhere. Virgin Galactic , a company started by Richard Branson’s Virgin Group, is developing space tourism for all. Why stick with the usual fortnight in Benidorm when you take a flight to space? If you can’t wait to travel in space, you can already make a firm reservation for a space flight as Virgin Galactic has started to take deposits for their first space tourism trips planned in 2008.
Space tourism with Virgin Galactic has been made possible by space travel entrepeneur Paul G. Allen, who is funding aviation designer Burt Rutan’s craft that aims to make space flight an achievable dream for many. Rutan’s plan for space travel carefully considers design, cost and the time it takes to train those interested in space tourism. His craft for space flight uses an environmentally friendly aircraft that causes virtually no pollution. It’s expected that pioneer in space tourism, Virgin Galactic, will locate its world's headquarters and Mission Control for space flight in New Mexico, offering budding astronauts a space travel experience that will be truly out of this world. Virgin Galactic (whose visual identity is created by design guru, Philippe Starck) hope to make space travel and space tourism as common in the future as a Virgin Atlantic flight or Virgin Holiday is today. It won’t be long before going up, up and away means sailing into the stars on your first space flight.
